Barnard Castle CCC

Saturday 23rd
Arrived 1.30pm - some traffic delays on the latter part of the A1.
Quick walk into Barnard Castle.

Sunday 24th
Pick up Lauren, visited the castle and walked around the town.
Took a trip to High Force Waterfall. (website)
Evening meal to celebrate Laurens' birthday.
Monday 25th
Walked along the Tees to Cottersthorne, and back the other side; another walk into town. Costa and cake then decided to walk to Egglestone Abbey - an English Heritage site.

Tuesday 26th
That's it. Early morning pack up, (and breakfast in the sun) - and a detour to see Lauren before heading home.

- Set up, dinner and beer then a walk into Cambridge -Its about 3 1/2 miles.
Thursday 28th August
- Cambridge again, on foot. A good walk-around taking in the various university colleges, castle mound and river.
Friday 29th August
- Audley End House
- Third visit, second time to the house and gardens.

- Duxford Chapel
- Denny Abbey
- A dry pack-up for a change and.... a relatively short journey home.

Boroughbridge CCC

A short trip to the Camping and Caravanning Club site at Boroughbridge North Yorkshire. (Here)
Saturday 25th May
About 2.45hrs driving plus the obligatory 'Costa' stop for coffee, the site is just off the A1 and situated on the outskirts of Roecliffe.
Then off for a walk into Boroughbridge and Aldborough

Picked up Lauren for a day trip to Whitby
A detour through 'Aidensfield'
Tuesday 28th May
Rain for most of the early part of the morning; we had breakfast under the canopy. It did however, subside for the hour or so that we packed up. Most of the journey home was wet too.
And finally; yes, we stopped at Tibshelf servces for some Costa refreshments.
